Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Surges at Box Office, Nears ₹300 Crore Milestone in Just Nine Days

New Delhi: Ranveer Singh’s latest espionage thriller Dhurandhar is maintaining robust momentum at the Indian box office following its December 5 release.

The Aditya Dhar-directed film, featuring an ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt, has demonstrated impressive staying power as it enters its second week.

Trade reports indicate that Dhurandhar has now surpassed the ₹290 crore mark in domestic net collections, positioning it to potentially cross ₹300 crore by the close of its second weekend.

On its eighth day (second Friday), the movie recorded ₹32.5 crore, marking a rise of more than 20 percent from the previous day. The upward trajectory continued strongly on Saturday, the ninth day, with earnings jumping over 60 percent to ₹53 crore.

The film’s total net collection in India stands at ₹292.75 crore after nine days.

The movie enjoyed a solid opening week, starting with ₹28 crore on the first Friday, followed by ₹32 crore on Saturday and ₹43 crore on Sunday. Weekday collections held steady despite typical drops, with ₹23.25 crore on Monday, ₹27 crore each on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, culminating in a first-week total of ₹207.25 crore.

In the second week, the film added ₹32.5 crore on day eight and ₹53 crore on day nine, bringing the cumulative figure to ₹292.75 crore.

With this consistent performance, Dhurandhar is on track to eclipse the lifetime domestic net earnings of Padmaavat, which stood at ₹302.15 crore, potentially becoming Ranveer Singh’s top-grossing film to date. Analysts suggest this could happen as early as the tenth day.

Dhurandhar, inspired by real events, centers on a covert agent infiltrating the Lyari mafia amid complex political tensions and a critical operation. The cast also includes Arjun Rampal, Danish Pandor, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. A sequel, titled Revenge, is slated for release on March 19, 2026.
