‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ Crosses Rs 1,020 Crore India Net on Day 19, Eyes Rs 1,050 Crore Mark

Aditya Dhar’s espionage thriller Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is showing no signs of slowing down as it enters Day 19 of its theatrical run on Monday, April 6, 2026.

The Ranveer Singh starrer has already collected Rs 6.42 crore on Day 19, pushing its cumulative India net collection to Rs 1,020.19 crore. The domestic gross stands at Rs 1,221.32 crore, with final tallies still being updated.

A Historic Box Office Milestone

After 18 days, the film had amassed Rs 1,013.77 crore in India net collections crossing the Rs 1,000 crore domestic net threshold. This makes it only the second Indian film in history to achieve this landmark in domestic net collections alone, after Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, and the first Hindi film ever to do so.

On the global front, the worldwide gross has reached Rs 1,605.74 crore with India gross at Rs 1,213.74 crore and overseas collections at Rs 392 crore placing Dhurandhar 2 among the three highest-grossing Indian films of all time.

Day 18 saw the film earn Rs 28.75 crore, a 12.1 percent jump over Day 17’s Rs 25.65 crore, reflecting strong weekday momentum.

Outpacing Blockbusters, Defying IPL

The film’s trajectory has consistently outpaced celebrated blockbusters including Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Yash’s KGF Chapter 2. Notably, it has sustained high evening occupancy throughout the ongoing 84-match IPL 2026 season, largely unaffected by major cricket clashes.

Boosted by the Gudi Padwa and Eid holidays, the film shattered opening records in its first week, collecting Rs 674.17 crore. Week 2 added Rs 263.65 crore despite the initial rush settling.

A particularly strong moment came on Day 11 Sunday, March 29 when the film earned Rs 68.10 crore in a single day. That surge allowed the sequel to surpass the lifetime collection of the original 2025 Dhurandhar (Rs 840.20 crore) in just 11 days, a feat the first film took over three months to accomplish.

Day 19: Shows and Language Breakdown

The film is currently running across 11,840 shows nationwide. Hindi remains the dominant contributor at Rs 6.15 crore, with Telugu adding Rs 0.18 crore and Tamil contributing Rs 0.09 crore.

About the Film

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge follows Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a man driven by personal tragedy who is recruited by R&AW and resurfaces as Hamza Ali Mazari, India’s most lethal undercover operative embedded in Karachi. The narrative incorporates real-world events including the 2016 demonetization and the renaming of Pathankot station.

Ranveer Singh portrays the dual identity of Jaskirat Singh and Hamza Ali Mazari in a career-defining performance across a nearly four-hour runtime of 229 minutes. Sanjay Dutt plays SSP Chaudhary Aslam, Arjun Rampal features as ISI mastermind Major Iqbal, and Rakesh Bedi portrays Jameel Jamali — a character inspired by real-life Pakistani politician Nabeel Gabol. Sara Arjun anchors the film’s emotional core, while Yami Gautam appears in a notable surprise cameo.

The film’s breakout performer has been Udaybir Sandhu as Pinda, whose dialogue “Ghar di yaad nahi aayi tujhe, Jassi?” has gone viral across social media platforms for weeks.
