‘Dhamaal 4’ Packs A Punch At The Box Office, Nears Rs 100 Crore Worldwide

Mumbai: Bollywood’s favourite comedy franchise is back and audiences are clearly loving the madness. Dhamaal 4 has made a flying start at the box office, collecting an estimated rs 65 crore net in India during its opening weekend. Globally, the film’s earnings have climbed to around rs 92 crore gross, putting it within touching distance of the coveted rs 100 crore mark.

The Indra Kumar directorial opened to packed theatres on July 10 and witnessed steady growth over the weekend. After a strong start on Friday, collections gathered momentum on Saturday before peaking on Sunday, which emerged as the film’s biggest day so far. The impressive jump in footfalls points to strong word of mouth, especially among family audiences looking for a light hearted entertainer.

Bringing back the franchise’s trademark mix of slapstick comedy, mistaken identities and over the top adventures, Dhamaal 4 reunites several familiar faces, including Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi. Their comic chemistry, which has been a major draw over the years, appears to have struck the right chord with moviegoers once again.

Trade experts say the film has enjoyed a healthy run across multiplexes and single screens alike. With positive audience reactions spreading over the weekend and no immediate competition from another major Hindi release, Dhamaal 4 is expected to remain the first choice for cinema goers in the coming days.

The film’s opening also marks one of the strongest starts for a Bollywood comedy in recent times, reaffirming that the Dhamaal brand continues to enjoy immense popularity even after nearly two decades. Nostalgia, a star studded cast and the promise of wholesome family entertainment have all contributed to its successful launch.

All eyes are now on the crucial weekday collections. If the film manages to hold steady from Monday onwards, it is expected to cross the rs 100 crore worldwide milestone within days and could go on to become one of the biggest commercial successes of the year.

For now, Dhamaal 4 has done exactly what fans hoped for it has delivered laughter, drawn crowds to theatres and given Bollywood a much needed box office winner.
