“Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain” Writer Manoj Santoshi Dies At 49: Actress Shilpa Shinde Blames Doctors

He Was Battling Liver Cancer

Manoj Santoshi, the writer of the popular television show, ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’, passed away on March 23 due to prolonged liver illness. His demise has sent a wave of shock in the television industry, and actors and fans are mourning his loss. Apparently, he was battling liver cancer for a long time.

The news of Manoj Santoshi’s ailment was first shared by the ‘FIR’ fame Kavita Kaushik, through her Instagram account, where she asked fans to pray for his speedy recovery.

Manoj was accompanied by the producer Binaifer Kohli and actress Shilpa Shinde throughout his illness, who extended moral and financial support to him.

On the other hand, actress Shilpa Shinde, who had previously been a part of ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’, blamed the doctors and cited medical negligence as the reason for Manoj’s death.

Shilpa revealed that she was managing Manoj’s finances. She described the doctors and the treatment as a disgusting business, where it is easy to earn money. She added that people are not dumb that they will not understand things, and claimed that the doctors were conducting dialysis on a dead person.

Expressing her outrage, the actress stated that in KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad, where Manoj was admitted, she does not know if there are doctors or barbers.

Shilpa, who herself keeps getting involved in controversies, conveyed her experience with the staff of the hospital. She said that she asked them if they wanted his kidney, if they were thinking there was no family for him. They were doing his dialysis to show her, but she could clearly see that he was no more. She further claimed that it was a case of negligence and theft, and she was its living proof.

Manoj Santoshi was a well-known writer, and had contributed in various television sitcoms like ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’, ‘Jeejaji Chhat Par Hain’, ‘FIR’, ‘May I Come In Madam’, ‘Yes Boss’, etc. which have been widely loved by the audience. He will be remembered for his unmatchable writing style and humour.

It is believed that his mortal remains will be taken to Bulandshahr.
