Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn, who burst onto the screen with his legendary leg-split stunt between two motorcycles in Phool Aur Kaante (1991), has built a career around performing dangerous action sequences, much like his father, action director Veeru Devgn. During recent promotional activities for De De Pyaar De 2, he shared a chilling memory of a skydiving training session where he watched a man die before his eyes.
Speaking with BookMyShow, co-star Madhavan highlighted Ajay’s courage, mentioning how the actor jumped from a plane for a skydiving scene without any rehearsal. In response, Devgn recounted a traumatic moment from his US training and said, “As soon as I reached, I saw someone fall because his parachute didn’t open, and he died, right in front of me. And it was me next.”

Ajay went on to mention a comparable incident involving Leonardo DiCaprio, though with a different outcome. “Something similar happened with Leonardo DiCaprio, but his instructor jumped after him and saved his life. You will even find a message from him there that reads: ‘Thanks for saving my life,'” he added.
Current Projects
On the professional front, Ajay recently appeared in De De Pyaar De 2, the follow-up to the 2019 hit De De Pyaar De. While Rakul Preet Singh and Jaaved Jaaferi returned to their original roles, the sequel introduced R. Madhavan, Gautami Kapoor, Meezaan Jafri, and Ishita Dutta to the cast.
De De Pyaar De 2 is helmed by Anshul Sharma and written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain. Following its cinema release, the film is expected to arrive on Netflix around January 2026. The 56-year-old actor’s upcoming slate includes Drishyam 3.
