Aadar Jain Opens Up on Tara Sutaria and the Reason Behind Their Split

Actor Aadar Jain recently spoke out about the controversy surrounding his ‘time-pass’ comment, which created a buzz during his pre-wedding celebrations with Alekha Advani. Aadar, a member of the prestigious Kapoor family, tied the knot with Alekha in an intimate ceremony in Goa, attended by close friends and family, including Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Alia Bhatt.
During their mehendi ceremony, a video emerged in which Aadar expressed his love for Alekha and made a remark about his past. He said, “I’ve always loved her and wanted to be with her. She sent me on this 20-year journey of time-pass, but it was all worth it because now I get to marry this beautiful woman who’s like a dream. I love you, and it was worth the wait. It’s a secret, but I’ve always loved her. I spent four years doing time pass, but now I’m with you, baby.”
The phrase “time pass for four years” quickly went viral on social media, sparking speculation that Aadar was referring to his previous relationship with actress Tara Sutaria. Fans took to criticizing the comment, interpreting it as suggesting his former relationship was just a fleeting phase.
Aadar addressed his controversial remarks in an interview explaining that his words were misinterpreted and turned into a “false narrative.” He clarified that his comment was never meant to disrespect anyone. “There are so many false narratives and assumptions, but no one fact-checks. Unfortunately, people create stories, and it’s the families involved who suffer. Out of respect, we stayed silent, but people took the liberty to say whatever they wanted. It’s unfair to Alekha, her family, my family, and even Tara and her family.”
Aadar went on to emphasize his respect for all his relationships past, present, and future. He acknowledged that his words had been misconstrued, saying, “They took 10 seconds of what I said and made their own conclusions. My parents always taught me to respect my past, my present, and my future. That’s how I was raised, and I would never intentionally direct such a comment toward anyone.”
