The Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2026) experienced turbulence on 30th May when a technical malfunction was detected, leading to a delay in the start of the examination at several centres across the nation.
The bug had an effect on the students appearing in the afternoon shift, forcing students to wait beyond their scheduled reporting time. According to the rescheduled timings given by the NTA (National Testing Agency), candidates for the afternoon session are required to report from 2:30 pm onwards, and the exam, which was scheduled to start at 3 pm, is now revised to 4 pm.
For morning session candidates, the agency promised that the full duration of the examination would be provided and students would be permitted to leave only after the examination. The NTA also decided to provide a compensatory extension of time to ensure a fair and less stressful process for the students.
