Mumbai: As everyone knows that the festivals are round the corner, traders and investors are curious to know whether the stock markets are open or shut. So here’s the full list of Market Holidays 2026. 

National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange, in short the Indian stock exchanges will remain open between March 19 and March 21, 2026. It simply means there will be trading as usual in equity derivatives, currency, commodities and equities. 

Even if they are regional and religious holidays as per the calendar, they are not official trading holidays. So even if there are celebrations across the country, in some states banks might remain closed but for stock market holidays they are pre-determined by the stock exchanges.  

So will Markets be open on Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, Eid and Navratri ? The answer is Yes ! Now you must be pondering why even on festivals the stock market remains open? Here’s the answer- For Trading holidays there is a fixed trading holiday calendar followed by the Traders and Investors. 

Despite having holidays in some banks due to festivals, the stock markets don’t follow the lead which is why you may trade normally just like any other day without any disruption. The only non -weekend Trading holidays left in March are Ram Navami which falls on 26 March and Mahavir Jayanti which is on 31 March.
