Vadodara Man Attempts Suicide Inside Botad Court, Alleges Harasement By Wife

Botad: A man from Vadodara attempted suicide by consuming poison inside the washroom of the Botad District Court, allegedly driven by stress related to an ongoing marital dispute.

The man, identified as Jayminbhai Ashokbhai Chauhan, had arrived in Botad to attend court hearings concerning maintenance and Section 498 cases. According to statements from Chauhan and his aunt, Meenakshiben Parmar, he had been facing repeated harassment and false allegations from his wife, Gopiben, which he claimed pushed him toward the drastic act.

Following the incident, emergency services were alerted and a 108 ambulance transported Chauhan to Sonawala Civil Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. Botad police have launched an investigation and are collecting statements to understand the circumstances surrounding the case.
