Amid India-Pakistan Tensions, Trains from Ahmedabad and Rajkot to Bhuj Cancelled

Bhuj: Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, several train services connecting Bhuj with Ahmedabad and Rajkot have been canceled as a security precaution. The heightened alert extends across border regions in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and other frontier areas nationwide.

Western Railway announced the cancellations through their official account on the social media platform ‘X’, listing five trains that will not operate on their scheduled routes between Bhuj, Gandhinagar, and Rajkot.

Canceled Train Services:

  • Train No. 94801: Ahmedabad-Bhuj Namo Bharat Rapid Rail (May 9, 2025)
  • Train No. 94802: Bhuj-Ahmedabad Namo Bharat Rapid Rail (May 10, 2025)
  • Train No. 22483: Jodhpur-Gandhidham Superfast Express (May 9, 2025)
  • Train No. 22484: Gandhidham-Jodhpur Superfast Express (May 10, 2025)
  • Train No. 09446/09445: Bhuj-Rajkot-Bhuj Special Train (May 10, 2025)

Restrictions on Drones and Fireworks

The Gujarat government has imposed a ban on flying drones and setting off fireworks at any events until May 15. Officials have appealed to the public to follow these guidelines and cooperate with authorities.

Blackout Declared in Mount Abu

Meanwhile, neighboring Rajasthan has implemented similar restrictions in Jaisalmer and other border districts, prohibiting drone flights and fireworks at wedding celebrations and other gatherings until May 15. Additionally, Mount Abu has issued blackout directives for May 9 and 10 between 7 PM and 8 PM. Tourists from Gujarat and other states have been urged to return to their hotels before 7 PM and keep their lights off during this period.
