PM Modi to Visit Mauritius on March 11-12 as Chief Guest for National Day Celebrations

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a state visit to Mauritius on March 11-12 at the invitation of Mauritius Prime Minister Naveen Chandra Ramgoolam. He will attend the country’s National Day celebrations as the chief guest on March 12.

According to Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, an Indian Defence Forces contingent and an Indian Navy ship will also participate in the event. During his visit, PM Modi will meet the President of Mauritius and hold discussions with PM Ramgoolam and other senior leaders.

This marks PM Modi’s first visit to Mauritius since 2015. Mauritius PM Ramgoolam recently expressed his gratitude, calling Modi’s presence a “singular privilege” that reaffirms the strong ties between the two nations. The visit highlights India’s commitment to its long-standing partnership with Mauritius, reinforcing diplomatic and strategic cooperation.
