J&K Terror Attack: Bodies of Gujarat Victims To Be Brought Back By Air Today

Ahmedabad: The bodies of three individuals from Gujarat who were killed in the Pahalgam terror attack, one from Surat and a father and son from Bhavnagar, will be brought back to the state by air today, the Gujarat government shared. The victims have been identified as Yatishbhai Sudhirbhai Parmar and his 17-year-old son Smit Parmar from Bhavnagar, and Shaileshbhai Himmatbhai Kalthiya, a native of Surat who was working in Mumbai. All three lost their lives in the brutal terrorist attack that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Jammu and Kashmir.
Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi stated that, following the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, arrangements have been made to bring the bodies to Gujarat by air. “All three are being brought back to their families. As per the central government arrangements, they are being brought to Mumbai. As per the directions of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the government will ensure they reach their families,” Sanghavi said. He will be present at the Ahmedabad airport to oversee the arrival, as per the reports.
The government is coordinating with central agencies to ensure a respectful and timely return. Spiritual leader Morari Bapu, whose Ramkatha event was underway about 100 km from the attack site, expressed condolences and confirmed that all participants linked to the event are safe. He also announced Rs 5 lakh financial support to each of the bereaved families.
