Saif Ali Khan Finds Sanctuary in Qatar with New Luxury Home

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has acquired a lavish property in Doha, Qatar, just three months after surviving a violent knife attack at his Mumbai residence. The actor, speaking at a press event organized by the Alfardan Group, shared that the serene environment, safety, and proximity to India were key factors in his decision to purchase the residence at The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl.
Khan highlighted the appeal of Qatar’s tranquil lifestyle, describing the property as a “home away from home.” He noted that the stunning views, curated cuisine, luxurious privacy, and relaxed pace of life made the location an ideal retreat for him and his family, including wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their sons, Taimur and Jehangir. “It’s easily accessible, very safe, and feels good to be there,” Khan told attendees, emphasizing the sense of peace he experienced during a prior stay while filming in Qatar.
The purchase follows a traumatic incident in January 2025, when an intruder attacked Khan at his Bandra home, leaving him with serious injuries. Despite the ordeal, Khan has recovered and is preparing for his next project, Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, a Netflix thriller set to stream from April 25. Directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, the film features Khan as a cunning thief alongside co-stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor, and Nikita Dutta. Produced by Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand under the Marflix banner, the movie promises high-stakes action and suspense.
Khan’s new Doha residence adds to his portfolio of prestigious properties, which includes the iconic Pataudi Palace and a plush Bandra apartment. The actor expressed enthusiasm about spending time in Qatar with his family, citing the island’s unique charm as a “luxurious and beautiful” haven.
