
Nagoya: The Indian women’s team stormed into the final of the Asian Games T20 tournament with a massive 114-run victory over Bangladesh in the semi-final here. With this emphatic win, the gold medal is now within India’s reach. Shefali Verma was the star performer for India in the semi-final.
Bangladesh were bowled out for just 81 while chasing a target of 196 runs. India will face Sri Lanka in the final.
For India, pacer Nandini Sharma claimed three wickets, while spinner Deepti Sharma also took three wickets. Another spinner, Shri Charani, picked up two wickets.

Shefali Completes First T20I Century Off the Final Ball
Earlier, India set Bangladesh a target of 196 runs. Bangladesh soon found themselves in deep trouble, losing four wickets for just 48 runs in nine overs.

Before that, with the final ball of India’s innings, opener Shefali Verma completed her century in the international T20 format. She remained unbeaten on 100 off 49 balls, hitting nine sixes and three fours.
Her opening partner Smriti Mandhana scored 37 runs, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur contributed 40 runs.
