Manchester: England defeated Sri Lanka in the third and final T20 match here on Saturday to complete a 3-0 whitewash in the series. Jos Buttler was the star of the match with an unbeaten 62 off 32 balls, including two sixes and seven fours. However, Sonny Baker was named Player of the Match for his impressive figures of 2-17 in 3.5 overs, while Harry Brook was named Player of the Series after scoring 170 runs, including a century.
Sri Lanka have now lost 15 consecutive T20 matches against England. With this victory, England have also regained the No. 1 position in the T20 rankings, taking the top spot away from India.
On Saturday, Sri Lanka, led by Charith Asalanka, were bowled out for just 124 runs.
England chased down the target by scoring 126 for two in 9.4 overs. When the match ended, the British side still had 62 balls remaining.
