A 24-year-old woman died away after allegedly ingesting a poisoned soft drink that police believe her boyfriend gave her because he thought she was involved with someone else.
The event took place in Chembur’s RCF village. The woman, Vishnumaya, was discovered unconscious in her room, according to police, and her family took her to a hospital.
Later, while receiving treatment, she passed away. When Vishnumaya passed away at Bungalow No. 57-A in Mysore Colony on August 25–26 under mysterious circumstances, the tragedy became public.
According to police, Ashish Magar, her boyfriend, first tried to deceive investigators by claiming the death was natural.
However, RCF police investigated circumstantial evidence and questioned individuals involved in the crime.
Magar allegedly gave Vishnumaya a Thumbs Up that contained poison, according to the police. Magar was taken into detention and placed under five days of police custody.
