A Kota Class 11 boy killed himself because his father took away his cell phone and prevented him from playing games on it. On Sunday night, the 16-year-old kid, identified as Mayank Nagar, ingested a toxic material at his residence in the Hanuman Nagar neighborhood under the Dadabari police station. When his illness worsened, family members hurried him to a private hospital. On Monday morning, he passed away while receiving treatment.
Mayank’s father, Chauthmal Nagar, a heart sufferer, also experienced a decline in his health after the death of his only son.
The family claims that Mayank used his cell phone a lot. According to his father, Mayank was playing a game on Sunday while the family was at home.
Mayank ignored his request to halt. The phone was then taken away by the father. Mayank ingested poison shortly after. According to Chauthmal, he never thot that removing the cell phone would have such a disastrous effect. Sant Ram, Mayank’s uncle, claimed that the teenager’s health abruptly deteriorated and he passed out. He allegedly claimed to have ingested poison when family members questioned him about what had transpired. The family first objected to a post-mortem examination following Mayank’s passing. They were convinced by police to consent to the procedure, which took place on Monday morning at the morgue of New Medical College Hospital. Later, the family received the body.
According to family relatives, Chauthmal has a heart issue and works as a painter. After hearing of his son’s passing, his health declined. They claimed that Mayank’s mother was distraught and that he was their only son.
The family was first hesitant to accept to the post-mortem, but they were persuaded, according to Baldev Ram, SHO of the Dadabari Police Station.
Based on the family’s allegation, police have opened a case and started an investigation. The local community and family are extremely horrified by the tragedy.
