
Six students were bitten by a snake in the hostel of a government-aided ashram school in the Gadchiroli region of Maharashtra, resulting in the deaths of three girls and the severe condition of a fourth student. Six children were resting in the hostel of a primary-secondary residential school in Gadchiroli’s when a snake bit them early on Monday morning.
The students were transferred to the District General Hospital in Gadchiroli after first being admitted to a rural hospital due to the consequences of the bite.
While the other three females received therapy, three students passed away during that time. But one of them abruptly became very ill. The student was promptly transported to GMC Hospital in Nagpur with the help of the local administration and Gadchiroli police to guaranty she received better facilities and cutting-edge medical care.
Eight, twelve, and fourteen-year-old students died from the snake bites. The families of the deceased students and villagers have made grave accusations against the school administration in the wake of the disaster, including egregious incompetence, a disdain for student safety, and dissatisfaction with the post situation response.
While the government and health department are currently doing everything they can to save the remaining lives, Ashish Jaiswal, the Guardian Minister for the Gadchiroli district, has gone to the school to assess the situation.
