Minor Girl Allegedly Raped On Moving Sleeper Bus From Rajkot To Surat

Rajkot: A minor girl was allegedly raped while traveling from Rajkot to Surat in a private sleeper coach bus. The alleged suspect, Vijay Barad, worked at the same Rajkot hostel where the victim stays for her studies. According to reports, Barad followed the girl when she was traveling to her home in Surat and they were previously in contact.

Police said Barad blackmailed and assaulted the girl during the bus journey. After reaching Surat, the victim filed a police complaint and underwent a medical examination. Authorities are searching for Barad, a resident of Gir Somnath. A Zero FIR has been registered in Rajkot and transferred to Surat’s Mahidharpura Police Station for investigation.
