London: England all-rounder Will Jacks produced one of the finest catches of this year’s The Hundred tournament during Thursday’s match at Lord’s. The spectacular effort has gone viral on social media, with cricket fans and experts showering praise on the England star.

Interestingly, Jacks pulled off the stunning catch to dismiss South African batter Lhuan-dre Pretorius near the boundary rope. That wicket helped MI London restrict London Spirit to 160 runs before successfully chasing down the 161-run target with six wickets in hand.

Pretorius was batting superbly for London Spirit. He reached his half-century off just 28 balls, smashing three sixes and five fours. However, he attempted a lofted shot off an overpitched, flighted delivery from spinner Nathan Sowter, sending the ball high towards the boundary.

Stationed right next to the boundary rope, Will Jacks initially completed the catch but realised that his momentum would carry him over the rope. Thinking quickly, he tossed the ball back into the air before stepping outside the boundary. He then returned to the field in a split second, launched into a full-stretch dive and completed the catch safely with his left hand, producing one of the most extraordinary catches of the tournament.
