Smrutiben Shreyanshbhai Shah, Director of Gujarat Samachar, passed away at the age of 82. Fondly known as “Smruti Bhabhi,” she was a beloved presence in both the newsroom and the hearts of her colleagues. In an earlier interview, Smrutiben had once said, “To work continuously for Gujarat Samachar is my hobby, my passion, it is everything in life.”

As the life partner of Gujarat Samachar’s Managing Editor, Shreyanshbhai Shah, she embodied dedication and played a significant role in the organization’s growth. Among her colleagues, Smrutiben was deeply respected for her clarity in decision-making and her exceptional management skills. She successfully oversaw the operations of multiple editions of Gujarat Samachar, earning admiration for her leadership and unwavering dedication.
