BJP Labels AAP Corrupt Amid CBI Raids on Leader’s Premises

The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday branded the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a “corrupt” entity, alleging that funds illicitly obtained through a liquor scam in Delhi were funneled into the Goa Assembly elections under the supervision of AAP leader Durgesh Pathak.
The BJP’s remarks came in response to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) searches conducted at the properties of Pathak, who currently serves as AAP’s co-incharge for Gujarat, where Assembly elections are slated for 2027. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva stated, “AAP is a corrupt outfit. Pathak oversaw Goa operations, where money siphoned off from Delhi’s liquor scam was deployed during the state polls.”
In response, AAP condemned the CBI raids on Pathak’s residence as a “politically driven” tactic intended to disrupt the party’s groundwork for the upcoming Gujarat elections. Countering this, Sachdeva questioned AAP’s unease, noting that the Gujarat polls are still two years away and asserting that the CBI was merely performing its duties
