Siya-Chetan Googled Ways To Kill Fiance, Prepared Answers If Caught

Pune police investigators have uncovered disturbing details about the alleged murder of Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad Fort, revealing that his fiancée Siya Goyal and her lover Chetan Chaudhary meticulously planned the crime in advance.

According to the probe, Goyal and Chaudhary searched online for methods to kill Agarwal before carrying out the act. The pair visited the fort alone prior to the incident to rehearse their actions. They also prepared and practiced responses they might give to authorities if questioned, while planning to use disguises to evade suspicion.

Evidence indicates the accused systematically deleted their entire phone chat histories and emptied recycle bins both before and after the crime. Authorities have forwarded the mobile devices to a forensic laboratory to recover deleted data.

Goyal and Agarwal had announced their engagement in February, with a grand wedding set for November. Families had made elaborate arrangements, including booking a palace in Jaipur for a reported 17 crore rupees and arranging two private planes for guests. Despite this, Goyal and Chaudhary allegedly executed their plan at the popular tourist site near Pune.

On June 14, Goyal took Agarwal to the fort and pushed him toward the valley. He survived by grabbing onto a bush along the cliffside. To cover her actions, she reportedly created a distraction by shouting about a fake snake sighting and then embraced him. Days later, she persuaded Agarwal to return to the location. This time, she involved Chaudhary, and the two allegedly pushed Agarwal from behind into the gorge, resulting in his death.

Case details also mention a contingency “Plan C” in the event the primary scheme failed.

Pune Rural Police have brought Goyal and Chaudhary to Lohagad Fort to reconstruct the crime scene. Officers are mapping the route taken, the positions of the accused, their specific actions, and the sequence of events.

In an emotional appeal, Ketan’s father, Vishal Agarwal, addressed potential witnesses during a candlelight march in their Gahunje housing society. He urged anyone present at the fort on June 18 the day of the murder who has contacted the family privately to come forward and assist the investigation. He assured them of no repercussions and vowed to continue seeking justice for his son.

The case continues to unfold as authorities piece together the events surrounding this alleged betrayal at the historic fort.
