Brazil: A devastating event unfolded in Limeira, São Paulo, Brazil, when a 21-year-old woman in pursuit of the thrill of a bungee jump fatally fell onto the rocky terrain, mistakenly believing she was secured by a safety harness. The visuals of the incident serve as an alarming example of one of the worst instances of staff negligence in recent times.
The woman, identified as Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, appeared excited as the workers prepared her for the jump. Under the impression that all safety checks were confirmed, they proceeded with the jump, leading to a direct, fatal fall to the ground.

The quick descent left the staff with no time to realize that a terrible error had occurred; within ten seconds, the adventure turned into a tragedy. Videos taken from various angles and posted on X show the crew calmly carrying the woman to the edge of the bridge before hurling her over.
Meanwhile, the bungee rope can be seen lying on the platform, clearly not attached to her body. Bystanders can be heard realizing this a split second after she is thrown. According to the Daily Mail, Maria fell at least 130 feet. This unforeseen situation has claimed a human life and will certainly invite intense scrutiny into the staff’s bizarre negligence.
