Siraj to be rested for ENG, IRE T20I matches

Pacer Mohammad Siraj, who is coming off a tiring IPL season will be rested for the T20I leg for the England and Ireland series. Fellow Gujarat Titans pacer Prasidh Krishna will replace him.

Workload Management

Siraj was part of the Titans squad which ended up as runners up in the recently concluded IPL. He struck 19 wickets at the economy of 9.06, primarily bowling with the new ball alongside Kagiso Rabada. With a hectic national schedule to follow, the BCCI in discussion with the medical team has decided to rest the star pacer from the T20I’s. With an abundance of talent in white ball, a replacement isn’t tough to find and the BCCI has decided to go with pacer Prasidh Krishna, who also enjoyed a decent season with the ball in the IPL. Krishna while in a good nick in T20I’s has only played 5 T20 matches for India despite winning the purple cap in IPL 2025.

India play Ireland for two T20I’s on June 26th and 28th before travelling to England for 5 T20I’s and 3 ODIs.
