Sooryavanshi Effect? ECB to change timings for T20I’s

England– The upcoming India vs England series, slated to start on first of July will mark a first for the England Cricket Board. The five match T20I series followed by 3 ODIs will be all played in England. For the T20I series, 15-year old cricket sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been given his debut cap, and has set the ball rolling, many have called it a brilliant move while some feel it’s too early for the teenager.

Sooryavanshi has already become a hot topic in the English media with his batting, many expect the T20I’s to be house-full, with most coming to watch this teenage sensation.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has decided to move the start times for the upcoming England vs India T20I series to maximize TV viewership. Three of the five T20Is, which were initially scheduled to start at 11 PM (IST), will now begin at 10 PM (IST).

The Sooryavanshi Phenomenon

Sooryavanshi, 15, set the history books on fire with his first full season as an opener in the IPL. A mammoth 776 run campaign at the staggering strike rate of 237.31, making it the best campaign for a batsman in the IPL. Sooryavanshi took down Chris Gayle’s 14 year old record of 59 sixes in a season by smashing 72 sixes in IPL 2026. Sooryavanshi was 1 year old when Gayle made his record.
