Teenage Girl kidnapped from School in Uttar Pradesh Sparks Urgent Police Search

A teenage girl enrolled in Class 9 was reportedly abducted from her school within the Suriyawan police station jurisdiction in Bhadohi district, authorities confirmed on Thursday. The incident occurred on April 2, but police only filed a First Information Report (FIR) late Wednesday night, following orders from Bhadohi Superintendent of Police Abhimanyu Manglik.
The primary suspect, a 28-year-old man named Ashutosh, believed to be the girl’s neighbor, has been charged under applicable sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). According to the girl’s mother, who lodged the complaint, Ashutosh had persistently harassed her daughter prior to the abduction. She further alleged that when she approached Ashutosh’s father to address his son’s behavior, both the suspect and his father threatened to make her daughter “disappear.”
Police are actively interrogating Ashutosh’s father while conducting extensive searches to locate the missing girl and apprehend the accused. The complainant noted that Ashutosh has also been unaccounted for since the day of the kidnapping, intensifying the urgency of the investigation.
