Ruckus In Rahul Gandhi’s Padyatra: Man Beaten Up By Workers, Slapped By Veteran Leader

The 'Palayan Roko, Naukri Do' March Has Faced Uproars Earlier As Well

Congress’s ‘Palayan Roko, Naukri Do’ march witnessed a ruckus once again due to a series of events. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi reached Begusarai district today and joined the march. However, he faced opposition from a man, who was then beaten up in Rahul’s presence. Moreover, the man was slapped by former Congress state president.

According to the sources, during the march, the man came with a poster demanding support for the Waqf Bill. This angered the Congress workers and they beat him up. Former Congress state president, Akhilesh Prasad Singh, who was also present with Rahul, slapped the man.

Apparently, the man had brought a poster, which read ‘Waqf Board nu samarthan karo Rahul Gandhiji’(‘Support the Waqf Board Rahul Gandhiji’). While some Congress workers supported him, others tore the poster and pushed him out of the gate of the ashram.

The Congress padyatra began from March 16. However, during the march, Congress has had to face several oppositions and uproars. Earlier, Congress workers, students, and members of the youth organization had come out on the streets with the party’s flag. They demanded filling up of the vacant posts in the defence forces and increasing government jobs.

In another such incident, on March 31, there was a huge commotion in the Araria district of Bihar over the issue of taking selfies with Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar. Apparently, some workers went closer to Kanhaiya Kumar in order to take a selfie with him. When the security personnel tried to stop them, some workers got pushed and the matter escalated. It is said that a fight started between the security personnel and the workers.
