Zimbabwe to Host India for Three T20Is in July 2026; Check Dates and Venue

Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed on Wednesday that India will visit Harare for a three-match T20I series in July 2026, with games set for July 23, 25, and 26.
The announcement comes days after India revealed their home schedule for early next year, which includes an ODI series against Zimbabwe in Kolkata (January 3), Hyderabad (January 6), and Mumbai (January 9) — their first white-ball bilateral at home against the African nation since 2002.
India’s Last Zimbabwe Tour
India were last in Zimbabwe in 2024, fresh off their T20 World Cup title. Shubman Gill captained the side for the first time, and despite losing the opener, India won the five-match series 4-1.
What ZC’s MD Said
ZC Managing Director Givemore Makoni didn’t hide his enthusiasm. “Matches against India always generate enormous interest, and this is a fantastic opportunity for our players to test themselves against the world champions on home soil,” he said.
He also pointed to Zimbabwe’s T20 World Cup performances as reason for optimism: “This series gives us a strong platform to build momentum and continue growing as a competitive force in international cricket.”
On the ODI tour of India, Makoni called it a landmark moment. “India is one of the premier destinations in world cricket. We are looking forward to competitive and high-quality cricket, and we believe this engagement will further strengthen the relationship between the two cricketing nations.”
Last Time They Met
The two sides faced each other in the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup in Chennai. India batted first and put up 256 for four. Zimbabwe, who had topped Group B ahead of Sri Lanka and Australia, fought back with 184 for six opener Brian Bennett stranded unbeaten on 97. India won by 72 runs.
