A shocking case has surfaced in Surat, where, in order to advertise for a mobile phone, an elephant was used, thus neglecting the rules issued by the forest department. As the video of the incident went viral, the forest department sent a notice to the person responsible for the act.
The elephant was used for advertising a mobile phone by the owner of a Havmor mobile shop. Apparently, the owner wanted to show the strength of the mobile phone, for which he used the elephant. He kept the phone under the animal’s foot.
When the forest department came to know about the incident about 4 days ago, a notice was sent to the shopkeeper seeking a reply. However, the shopkeeper has not responded to the notice yet.
According to the rules of the forest department, no wildlife can be used for any kind of advertisement. On the other hand, no attention was paid to the forest department’s rules in this incident. Moreover, no action has been taken by the police despite knowing about the situation.
