Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer Drops — Tom Holland Returns In A Darker, Post-No Way Home Era
Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker in the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth Spider-Man film in the MCU and it’s a noticeably darker ride than what came before.
The story picks up after No Way Home. Doctor Strange’s spell worked the world has forgotten Spider-Man exists, including Mary Jane (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon). Peter saved New York and the multiverse, and nobody knows. Aunt May is dead. He’s on his own.
So he builds a new suit the classic red-and-blue and gets back to work. The trailer shows him jumping skyscrapers, throwing punches, and quietly falling apart.

The cast mixes returning faces with a few new ones. Mark Ruffalo is back as the Hulk. Jon Bernthal returns as the Punisher. Michael Mando reprises Scorpion. Newcomers include Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, and Liza Colon-Zayas, and Marvin Jones II plays Tombstone.
One thing worth noting: this is the first MCU Spider-Man film not directed by Jon Watts, who handled all three of Holland’s previous solo outings. Destin Daniel Cretton directs this one.
Brand New Day is expected to be the last solo-hero film in Phase 6 before Marvel shifts focus to Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. It hits theatres on July 30, 2026.
