PM Kisan 22nd Installment: Pm Modi To Release ₹2,000 To Crores Of Farmers Via DBT

Guwahati: The Government of India to release the 22nd installment of financial assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme, transferring ₹2,000 directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmers across the country. According to a report by Aaj Tak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute the funds in a programme held at Guwahati, Assam.

Under this installment, more than 9 crore farmer families are expected to benefit as the central government deposits the financial assistance through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. The amount forms part of the government’s continued effort to support agricultural households by providing income assistance for farming and related expenses.

The PM-Kisan scheme provides financial aid of ₹6,000 annually to eligible farmers, which is paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. The funds are transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts, helping them manage agricultural costs such as seeds, fertilizers and other essential inputs.

According to reports, the latest payment marks the 22nd installment under the programme since its launch. The initiative was introduced by the central government to provide consistent financial support to farmers and strengthen rural income stability.

Officials have also reminded beneficiaries that completing e-KYC verification and ensuring that Aadhaar is linked to bank accounts are necessary steps to receive the funds without delay. Farmers who have not updated their records or completed verification procedures may face difficulties in receiving the payment.

Since its launch in 2019, the PM-Kisan scheme has transferred thousands of crores of rupees directly to farmers’ accounts across India. With the release of the 22nd installment, the government continues to maintain the programme as a key component of its agricultural support policies aimed at improving financial security for farmers nationwide.
