Controversial Gujarat YouTuber Kirti Patel Arrested from Rajasthan; Junagadh Police Take Her Into Custody After 3 Complaints In 7 Days

Controversial Gujarat-based social media influencer and YouTuber Kirti Patel has been arrested from Rajasthan by Junagadh police, following a rapid escalation of criminal complaints against her over the past week. Three separate cases have been registered against Patel, whose alleged intimidation tactics drove a local YouTuber to attempt suicide twice.
What Sparked the Controversy?
The trouble began during the Maha Shivratri fair held in Junagadh, where Kirti Patel allegedly bathed in the sacred Mrigi Kund, sparking public outrage. Junagadh-based YouTuber Abjal Sida took to social media to go live and protest against the viral video of the incident. Following Sida’s video, Kirti Patel reportedly began losing followers and allegedly decided to retaliate.
According to the complaint, Patel and her associates targeted Abjal Sida, demanding a ransom of Rs 20 lakh and threatening to falsely implicate him in a rape case if he did not comply.
YouTuber Attempts Suicide Twice
Unable to bear the alleged harassment and threats from Kirti Patel and her gang, Abjal Sida attempted suicide on two separate occasions by consuming phenyl. He first drank phenyl at his own residence and later attempted it a second time near the Bhadar bridge close to Jetpur Navagadh. The young man is currently under medical care and his condition is being closely monitored.
Police Register Case Against Five Accused
Taking serious note of the incident, the Udyognagar Police Station in Junagadh registered a case against Kirti Patel along with four others Divya Savlani, Jashpalsinh, Hanu Chavda, and Viram Mewada. The accused have been booked under charges of extortion, criminal intimidation, and abetment to suicide attempt. Police have intensified their investigation into the matter.
With Kirti Patel repeatedly finding herself at the centre of controversies, authorities are expected to take a firm stance this time following her arrest from Rajasthan.
