AMTS Bus Catches Fire Near S.G. Highway Sola Civil Hospital In Ahmedabad, No Casualties Reported

Ahmedabad AMTS Bus Fire: A major scare unfolded on Ahmedabad’s busy S.G. Highway on Monday after a running city bus caught fire near the Sola Bhagwat crossroads, close to the Sola Civil Hospital area. Swift action by the driver ensured that all passengers were evacuated safely, preventing any serious injuries or loss of life.

According to initial information, the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service bus was operating on its scheduled route when smoke suddenly began billowing from the engine compartment as it approached the Sola Bhagwat junction. Within minutes, the smoke escalated into flames, triggering panic among passengers onboard.

The driver immediately stopped the bus and acted promptly to get all commuters off the vehicle. Thanks to this timely response, no passenger was injured in the incident, officials said.

Following the alert, teams from the Ahmedabad Fire Brigade rushed to the spot and began firefighting operations. Firefighters used continuous water spray to bring the blaze under control. Witnesses reported that the intensity of the fire was such that thick plumes of smoke were visible from a considerable distance.

The incident caused temporary disruption to traffic on the S.G. Highway, one of the city’s busiest arterial roads. Authorities later secured the area after the fire was extinguished.
