Indian Cricket Team Unwinds with Blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’ Ahead of South Africa Clash

Lucknow: Members of the Indian cricket team opted for cinematic relaxation on Monday evening, attending a private screening of Ranveer Singh’s espionage thriller ‘Dhurandhar’ in Lucknow just days before their fourth T20I encounter against South Africa.
The squad, which includes head coach Gautam Gambhir, captain Suryakumar Yadav, vice-captain Shubman Gill, all-rounder Hardik Pandya, pacers Arshdeep Singh, Tilak Varma, and others, arrived at the Phoenix Palassio Mall multiplex for the 8:10 pm show. Bowling coach Morne Morkel also joined the group. Reports indicate the team reserved an entire auditorium to ensure privacy and security protocols, given their status as prominent athletes.
A regional director from the multiplex confirmed the booking, noting that the group of approximately 40, comprising players and support staff, departed around 12:10 am after the screening.
The outing comes as India holds a 2-1 lead in the ongoing five-match T20I series, with the next game set for December 17 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.
