Iyer, who began his captaincy career with a match-winning performance that saw nine sixes and five fours, has been impressive by making modifications in his stance and technique to meet short balls.

Williamson, who was with the Gujarat Titans, praised Iyer’s technical changes, especially his penchant for conquering short-pitched balls. “What impresses me with Shreyas is how he keeps refining his game,” Williamson said.
