2 Men Accused Of Firing At Actor Disha Patani’s House Killed In Encounter

In a swift crackdown on organized crime, two suspected gunmen linked to a brazen shooting outside Bollywood star Disha Patani’s home in Bareilly were killed during a police encounter in Ghaziabad on Wednesday, authorities reported.
The operation unfolded near Tronica City, where a combined team from the Delhi Police Special Cell, Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), and Haryana STF cornered the suspects. Identified as Ravinder from Kahni village in Rohtak, Haryana, and Arun from Indian Colony on Gohana Road in Sonipat, Haryana, the pair succumbed to gunshot wounds after exchanging fire with officers. One Special Cell personnel was also injured in the skirmish, according to a Haryana STF senior officer.
Officials described the duo as key operatives in the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang. “They played a direct role in the Bareilly firing case, which raised alarms about security for prominent figures. It appeared to be an extortion-driven bid to intimidate,” a Delhi Police Special Cell officer noted.
The incident traces back to the early hours of September 12, when unidentified assailants unleashed several rounds at Patani’s residence around 3:45 a.m., sending shockwaves through the neighborhood. A formal complaint was lodged at Bareilly’s Kotwali police station, prompting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to order urgent measures, underscoring the state’s firm stance against criminal activity.
Investigators pored over CCTV recordings, sifted through intelligence from adjacent states, and cross-referenced records to pinpoint the perpetrators as Ravinder, son of Kallu, and Arun, son of Rajendra. The Noida unit of the STF, alongside Delhi Police, intercepted the men in Ghaziabad’s Tronica City. The confrontation escalated quickly, leaving both suspects critically hurt; they were transported to a medical facility but did not survive.
UP Police Additional Director General (Law and Order) Amitabh Yash detailed how the probe confirmed their gang affiliations. Ravinder, in particular, carried a lengthy rap sheet from prior offenses. From the scene, authorities seized a Glock pistol, a Zigana firearm, and a substantial cache of ammunition.
With the primary suspects neutralized, senior officials indicated that probes continue to hunt down remaining fugitives in the network. The episode highlights escalating threats to celebrities and the relentless pursuit by law enforcement to dismantle such syndicates.
