Ahmedabad Tragedy: Dumper Hits Activa, Two Women Including Police Personnel Killed

Ahmedabad: A horrific road accident near the 108 Emergency Centre on the Ring Road claimed the lives of two women on Monday. The incident occurred when an unidentified dumper rammed into their Activa scooter.

Both victims sustained severe injuries and were rushed to hospital in a police vehicle, but doctors declared them dead on arrival. Officials later identified the deceased as Viralben Rabari, a police officer posted with the Gandhinagar Cyber Cell, and Hiralben Rajgor, an employee of the 108 Emergency Service.

Police Investigation Underway

Following the accident, the G-Division Traffic Police registered a case and have begun investigating to trace the dumper driver. Authorities confirmed that efforts are ongoing to arrest the driver responsible.

Returning After Duty

Preliminary reports suggest that both women were returning after deployment for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme arrangements when the crash occurred. Riding together on an Activa, they were struck fatally in the collision.

Police said the identity of the dumper driver is still being verified, and strict action will be taken once he is caught.
