
The Central Bureau of Investigation on Saturday searched locations connected to industrialist Anil Ambani in a probe into an alleged bank fraud exceeding ₹2,000 crore, officials said. The agency confirmed a case has been registered but declined to share further details at this stage.

Separately, the Enforcement Directorate has issued a Look Out Circular against Ambani, chairman of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG), as part of its investigation into an alleged ₹17,000-crore bank loan fraud, to prevent his travel without prior clearance, as previously reported. The ED also summoned him for questioning on August 5. According to officials, that case concerns suspected diversion and misuse of loans taken by multiple ADAG companies from a consortium of banks and financial institutions.
