Devendra Fadnavis, Aaditya Thackeray Share Hotel Space; Camps Deny Any Meeting

The presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray at the same hotel on Saturday evening has fueled intense speculation about another potential meeting between the two rival political camps. Both leaders were at the Sofitel Hotel in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex at the same time.

However, leaders from both the BJP and the Shiv Sena (UBT) have moved quickly to quash the rumors, insisting that no meeting took place. According to aides, both Fadnavis and Thackeray were at the hotel to attend separate, unrelated events, and their simultaneous presence was merely a “coincidence.”

This incident comes just days after a series of public interactions between the leaders at the Vidhan Bhavan, which had already set political circles abuzz. Earlier in the week, Uddhav and Aaditya Thackeray met with Fadnavis, during which Uddhav presented him with a book arguing against the imposition of Hindi. On another occasion, Fadnavis and Uddhav Thackeray were seen exchanging greetings in the Vidhan Bhavan lobby, and Aaditya also greeted the Chief Minister separately on the premises.
