Surat Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Girl Student; Sparks Outrage

A shocking incident has surfaced in Surat, wherein a teacher has been arrested for allegedly molesting a girl student. The manager and teacher at Enjoy Coaching Institute, Lalit Sonar, has been accused of allegedly molesting a 15-year-old student, and has been arrested for the same.

Apparently, the girl’s father found her crying in their home. He informed the girl’s mother, who rushed home from her work. The girl shared that it all started in January, when the teacher Lalit Sonar, accompanying on a school trip to Rajasthan, insisted the girl in the bus to let him pick her up, and then she could take the bag. The girl had refused.

After this incident had passed, the girl, who studies in the 11^th grade, called up the accused and asked for his advice about a good tuition class for Arts stream. To which, the accused had told the girl to select Commerce stream instead; he also called her early at his tuition classes in the pretext of having some work regarding the results.

When the girl reached there, she found nobody. The accused called her inside his office, held her hand and took her to sit on the sofa. He hugged her, after which he molested her. When the girl retaliated by pushing him away, he threatened her to not tell about the incident to anyone.

After getting to know about the incident, the girl’s mother immediately filed a complaint of molestation at Limbayat Police Station against the accused Lalit Sonar. With immediate effect, police started investigations and arrested the accused teacher Lalit Sonar.

This incident has sparked outrage among students and parents, while also creating fear. Such cases raise questions about students’ safety in tuition classes, especially female students. It has also sent shock waves through the educational scenario.
