Deepika Padukone to Shine as First Indian Actress on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has been selected as one of the honorees for the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026 in the Motion Pictures category, marking a historic milestone as the first Indian actress to receive this prestigious recognition. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the inductees during a live-streamed event, spotlighting Padukone among a distinguished group of global entertainers.
The 2026 class includes 35 notable figures across five categories: motion pictures, television, live theatre and live performance, recording, and sports entertainment. Joining Padukone are acclaimed actors such as Emily Blunt, Rachel McAdams, Molly Ringwald, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Rami Malek, and Noah Wyle. The list also features NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and Good Morning America co-anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, who will be honored in a joint ceremony. Posthumous recognitions will be awarded to Italian special effects artist Carlo Rambaldi and director Tony Scott.
Padukone’s inclusion underscores her significant contributions to the global film industry. She made her Hollywood debut in 2017 with xXx: Return of Xander Cage, starring alongside Vin Diesel. Beyond her cinematic achievements, Padukone and her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, welcomed their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, on September 8, 2024. The couple, married since 2018, shared their daughter’s name with the public last Diwali, accompanied by a heartfelt message.
