Bombay Scottish Assault Case: Arrested Teacher Says She’s ‘Still In Love’ With Student, Used Maid To Reach Out After Breakup

Mumbai: Bipasha Kumar (40), the former Bombay Scottish High School, Mahim teacher arrested for sexually assaulting a male student, has confessed to police that she remains “in love” with the victim. She also admitted dispatching her maid to contact the boy after their relationship ended.
Case Details
Police investigations confirm the alleged abuse began in the teacher’s car in Dadar – now impounded – before moving to three Mumbai hotels: the JW Marriott in Juhu, the President Hotel, and The Lalit Hotel in Vile Parle.
Authorities uncovered a pattern of grooming, with Kumar regularly purchasing clothes and gifts for the student and frequently taking him to expensive restaurants. The relationship reportedly ceased in February due to the boy’s focus on his 12th-grade exams, leading him to avoid Kumar and block her number.
Four months later, Kumar sent her maid to the victim’s residence. This act prompted the disclosure of the alleged abuse to the boy’s family.
Police further revealed that a female doctor, described as a friend of Kumar and a co-accused who relocated to the UK last Diwali, provided the victim with Daxid 50mg medication, allegedly to manage his stress. Kumar was produced before the Sessions Court and remanded to one-day police custody.
