HYBE’s India Venture Sparks Buzz for BTS-Arijit Singh Collaboration

HYBE, the South Korean entertainment powerhouse behind K-pop sensations like BTS, TXT, and SEVENTEEN, has announced plans to establish a subsidiary in India, igniting excitement among the country’s K-pop fans. According to K-Media, the company is conducting market research and navigating legal processes to launch HYBE India by September or October 2025, aiming to bring its K-pop production model to India’s 1.4 billion-strong market.
The announcement has sent Indian fans into a frenzy, with many anticipating the possibility of live concerts, particularly a long-awaited BTS performance in India. Social media platforms are abuzz with speculation, as fans express enthusiasm for potential collaborations between HYBE artists and Indian musicians, with a BTS-Arijit Singh track being a top fan hope. One fan posted on X, “Hybe establishing a subsidy in india which means txt india concert isn’t that far away,” while another wrote, “So hybe India is really happening means bts and txt are coming here HOW ARE Y’ALL FEELING INDIAN ARMYS AND MOAS.”

This move aligns with HYBE’s “Multi-home, Multi-genre” strategy, led by Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, which focuses on integrating local cultures into its global music framework. The strategy has already proven successful in the United States, where HYBE America’s girl group Catseye debuted on Billboard’s Hot 100 within a year, and in Latin America, where HYBE launched operations in 2023 and is running two artist discovery initiatives. In India, the new subsidiary is expected to bolster the growing influence of the Desi K-pop community and pave the way for stronger industry collaborations.
