Mumbai Braces for Heavy Rain and Cloudy Skies Today, Says IMD

Mumbai is set to experience heavy rainfall and overcast conditions on Monday, June 23, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The city is currently at 28°C with a 40% chance of precipitation, humidity levels at 83%, and winds blowing at 29 km/h. The IMD forecasts intermittent showers throughout the day, contributing to a warm and humid atmosphere typical of Mumbai’s monsoon season.
The IMD also predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall across the Konkan-Goa region and the Ghat areas of central Maharashtra. As of 9 a.m., light rain has been reported in Mumbai, aligning with the seasonal weather patterns. Residents can expect cloudy skies to persist, with occasional rain disrupting daily activities.

Significant rainfall was recorded across various regions from June 22 to June 23, including 13 cm in Guna (West Madhya Pradesh), 10 cm in Ranchi (Jharkhand), 7 cm in Mangalore (Coastal Karnataka), and 4 cm in Panjim (Konkan & Goa), among others. These figures highlight the widespread impact of the monsoon across India.
