Haryana Model’s Tragic Death Uncovered in Sonipat Canal

Sonipat: The body of Sheetal, a model associated with the Haryana music industry, was discovered in a canal in Kharkhauda, Sonipat, on Sunday. The grim finding followed a missing person report filed by her family in Panipat last week.

Sheetal, also known as Simmi Chaudhary, was identified through distinctive tattoos on her body, according to authorities. The police suspect foul play, as her throat was slit, pointing to a possible murder. Her body was retrieved near the Reliance canal close to Khanda village and sent to the Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The investigation began after Sheetal’s sister, Neha, lodged a missing person complaint at the Matlauda Police Station in Panipat. Neha reported that Sheetal, aged 23, had left for a music video shoot in Ahar village on June 14 but never returned home. During the identification process, authorities connected the body to the missing person report filed earlier.

DSP Rajbir Singh confirmed the murder and stated that a team from Matlauda Police Station has been dispatched to Sonipat to assist with the investigation. The police are working to identify suspects and determine the motive behind the crime, which has sent shockwaves through the regional entertainment industry.

Further details emerged from family members, who alleged that Sheetal had been assaulted by her boyfriend prior to her disappearance. Sheetal had video-called her sister, reporting the assault. Her boyfriend’s car was found abandoned near the canal where her body was discovered, raising suspicions about his involvement. The police are investigating all leads, including this connection, to uncover the circumstances surrounding her death.

The case has sparked concerns about the safety of performers in the Haryana music industry, with authorities vowing to pursue justice for Sheetal. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to bring the culprits to light.
