29 Year Old Gujarati Man Found Dead In Australia After Being Missing For Six Days

Morbi: A 29-year-old man from Gujarat, who had been missing for six days in Australia, was found dead under mysterious circumstances near a riverbank close to his residence in Sydney. The deceased, identified as Jaydipsinh Dodiya, originally hailed from Merupar village in Halvad. He had moved to Australia seven years ago on a student visa and later settled there with a job.

Jaydipsinh was last seen on the morning of June 1, 2025, around 11:00 AM in the Emu Plains area. When he failed to return home from work that night, his wife reported him missing on June 2. Authorities launched a search operation, and the New South Wales (NSW) Police issued a public appeal for information, expressing serious concern for his safety.

On June 6, Jaydipsinh’s body was discovered along the riverbank near his home. His wife was called to identify the body, and it was confirmed to be him. His body is scheduled for a post-mortem examination on June 10, which is expected to reveal the exact cause of death.

Jaydipsinh had married about a year ago, and his wife had joined him in Australia three months after their wedding, following the approval of her visa. The couple had been living together in Sydney since then.

The tragic news has deeply affected his family in India. Jaydipsinh was the eldest of two brothers and has two sisters. The Indian Embassy, along with the state and central governments, has been contacted by the grieving family, who are now working to bring his body back to India for final rites.
