Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to conduct a road show in Ahmedabad today. This is his first visit to the state after Operation Sindoor. The roadshow is expected to attract a large number of people. Amid such conditions, the IMD has predicted rainfall with winds and thunderstorm in Ahmedabad and nearby areas.
The Prime Minister’s roadshow from Ahmedabad Airport to Indira Bridge Circle is scheduled today evening from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. During this period, various cultural programs and events are planned. On the other hand, there are possibilities of rainfall with winds in Ahmedabad on Monday evening. Whereas on Sunday (May 25), banners and mandaps along the road show route were damaged due to strong winds.
In Ahmedabad and nearby areas, light to medium rainfall along with thunder is likely to occur today. In addition, winds will blow at a speed of 50 to 60 km per hour. As per IMD predictions, an orange alert has been issued along with heavy rainfall at Surendranagar, Rajkot, Botad, Amreli, and Bhavnagar for today.
Likewise, an orange alert has been issued at Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Navsari, Mahisagar, Dahod, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Tapi, Daang, Valsad, Dadra and Nagar Haveli for today. On May 27, a yellow alert has been issued in Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisa.
In places of South Gujarat such as Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Daang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and Daman-Dadra and Nagar Haveli, a yellow alert has been issued for tomorrow (May 26). Likewise, a yellow alert has been issued for tomorrow in various districts of Saurashtra-Kutch, such as Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Dwarka, Gir-Somnath, Botad, Kutch, and Diu, due to rainfall.
With such forecasts, concerns regarding Prime Minister’s roadshow arise, as crowds will gather in the same. It is speculated that challenges might be faced during the roadshow due to such weather.
