The state is witnessing rising cases of road accidents nowadays. This raises concerns about safe driving of vehicles and road awareness among drivers. In one such incident, a horrific accident has taken place on the Dholera-Bhavnagar highway. Two cars collided with each other near Sandhida on Dholera-Bhavnagar highway. The accident, that occurred between a Hyundai Verna and a Maruti S-Cross, resulted in on the spot deaths of 3 people.
Police and the ambulance rushed to the spot immediately upon learning about the incident. The injured have been shifted to the Bhavnagar Civil Hospital. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case of accident and undertaken investigations. However, the cause of the accident is yet to be known.
Earlier as well, on May 12, a similar accident took place on the Dholera-Bhavnagar highway, wherein 2 cars collided with each other. It resulted in the deaths of 5 people, in which 3 were brothers. Road accidents are caused due to various factors such as over-speeding, drunk driving, negligent driving, among others. It is important that the government and citizens collectively make efforts to reduce the occurrence of such incidents that prove fatal in many cases.
