Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has extended the deadline for paying the impact fee by an additional six months. To date, the AMC has received 75,000 applications for the impact fee.
AMC Generates ₹258 Crore from Impact Fees
It is noteworthy that impact fees are levied to legalize unauthorized constructions. Out of the 75,000 applications received by the AMC for impact fees, 60,000 have been processed. Among these, 21,651 applications have been approved. Significantly, the AMC has generated revenue of ₹258 crore from impact fees.
Application Breakdown by Zone
The South Zone submitted the highest number of impact fee applications with 14,540, followed by the West Zone with 12,958, and the North West Zone with 11,583. The Central Zone had the fewest approvals, with only 535 applications sanctioned. Conversely, the North Zone saw the highest number of rejections, with 7,484 applications disapproved.
